The Work Orders Menu has the following Sub Menus: (click on a sub menu to be taken to a screen shot and/or explanation) New Work Order Work Order Selection New Warranty Work Order Warranty Work Order selection Mark Work Orders Installed Installer Adjustment
This function kicks off a series of windows that allow you to create a work order from an existing estimate. You can include or exclude any line items you wish with just the click of the mouse. Excluded items are saved in the original estimate so that the Customer can call back later and do the remaining items. Here is also where you tell the system the film type to be used with just a click of the mouse. Film types can be selected with one click and applied to all of the line items to be installed or you can click different film types for different line items. This customer may have decided to use V-38 in the Family room and VS-60 in the Nook. You can tell the system this by just clicking on V-38 next to the Family Room Line items and VS-60 next to the Living Room Line Items. Again you are brought to the Customer Selection Window Below.
Select the appropriate Customer and the appropriate Estimate and the following window appears:
The above window will display all line items that are in the original estimate in the section next to “Click to Exclude”. Click next to any line item that the customer does not want installed at this time. When the arrow next to an item is clicked it automatically moves to the bottom section. In this case, the customer doesn’t want the Nook Doors done at this time. Click Save. When all of the line items are in the correct spot it is time to tell the system the pricing and film type(s) to be used. If this customer picks V-38 for the Family Room and Living Room simply click the “Vista” header in the 2nd column and that price per ft2 will be applied to ALL of the line items. If the customer picks Spectra Select for the 2nd line item but V-38 for the rest, click the 9.00 under “Spectra” on the 2nd line and the “Vista” header to select the rest. Next, click the “Film Type” header and select V-38. This will show both line items getting V-38. Finally, use the drop down list under “Film Type” next to the 2nd line and select a film type such as VS-60 for line 2. Click “Print Internal Work Order” and you are ready to print the work order. Or, click “Forward” to save and not print. See the completed window below:
Click Print Internal Work Order and the following screen appears:
Leave the check box checked if you want to collect from the customer. Uncheck it if you will be billing the customer. If you do uncheck it the screen below will print except a big DO NOT COLLECT will be printed below the pricing so that your installer will not mistakenly try to collect from your designer's customer for example.
Click on the Printer symbol up top to print this for your installer. Click on the Cutting Layout button to print out a cutting diagram for your installer. See the screen below:
This screen is showing you the widths, availability and any length limit that you currently have set up for this film. (Length Limits are used when you have so many linear inches of a certain width available) Let's say in this case we will have no 48" at the time we need to cut this. We will answer no to the above question and the following screen appears:
Here we will click the arrow to the left of the 48" roll which produces the following screen:
Un-check the Available box, click Save and then click Close and Close again. Then push the Cutting Layout Button again. See below:
Notice the 48" is not available. Now click Yes and you will go through the same screens for VS-60 (The other film on this job). Once these steps are complete the optimizer kicks in and the following screen appears:
Here is where you can print the layout and print matching labels that the installer can use to tape up his pre-cut pieces. Keep in mind that our optimizer uses cost as its main criteria not waste %. It is possible for a solution to waste more film than another solution yet cost less if certain roll widths are more expensive per square foot than others. |
