The Materials menu has the following Submenus: Pricing Column Selection Film Type Selection Window Frame Selection Ladder Selection This function is where you enter and maintain the headers that can be selected for the three pricing columns available to you on the estimate. You would enter the header such as Llumar or Vista or Spectra Select etc. and assign a default price per FT2 for this family of films. This way when the sales person selects Llumar for column 1 and Vista for column 2 he won’t have to manually enter a price per FT2 for every line item entered. However, the sales person does have the flexibility to adjust this price line by line if need be. This is NOT a place to enter V-38 or N1035-B. Film types will be entered in a different function.
Click "Add" to enter a new column header or click the arrow next to an existing header to edit. The following screen appears:
Just fill in the needed information. Here is where you will enter all of the film types or Product numbers that you sell such as N1035-B, V-38, and V-14 etc. This list will be available to choose from when you are creating your work orders and you want to select a specific film type. This function may be disabled if you purchased a manufacturer's exclusive version.
Click "Add" to enter a new film type or click the arrow next to an existing film type to edit. The following screen appears:
Just fill in the film name and then click "Add" to enter the roll widths this film comes in and the corresponding price per square foot you pay for this width. See Below:
Leave the length limit at 0.00. This is used at material optimization time to tell the program if you only have a certain amount of linear inches available in this roll width. Leaving it at 0.00 assumes that you have an unlimited supply of this width available. Just click Save and then Close to get back to the screen below.
Go through this process for all of your films. Here is where you enter all of the different window frame types you are likely to encounter in your market. As you enter each frame type you will be asked to enter the avg. FT2 per hr. and the avg. # of panes per hr. your installers can install given this frame type. This information is used in calculating the approximate installation time for each estimate and work order.
Click "Add" to enter a new Frame type or click the arrow next to an existing frame type to edit. The following screen appears:
Just fill in the blanks and click "Save" You simply enter the types of ladders or lifting devices etc. that are available to you. This list is available for the sales person to select from when he/she is creating an estimate.
